“I was drawn to traditional Chinese medicine as a way to resolve my own life-long battle with chronic illness. From a very young age, I dealt with severe allergies and chronic pain. As I got older, my condition worsened, and I developed a long list of ailments: Chronic fatigue, fibromyalgia, IBS, angina, palpitations, anxiety, insomnia, severe lumbago-- the list goes on.
Eventually, I decided to go to school to study Chinese Medicine, because I felt drawn to its elegant philosophy, as well as the opportunity to be a healer. Of course, I had a feint hope that I would also learn how to heal myself-- and that's exactly what happened. After several months of treatment with acupuncture and Chinese herbs, I am now completely symptom-free. But I am very grateful for having had these illnesses, because the memory of my struggle helps me to empathize with my patients everyday. And it also taught me how to heal, because my first patient was myself.
So as you can imagine, I have a great enthusiasm for this medicine. I most thoroughly enjoy helping people with all kinds of health problems that seem to slip under the radar of conventional medicine.”
Although Muki maintains a general practice for all kinds of health problems, he specializes in pain management, fatigue, women’s health issues, insomnia, infertility, and emotional disorders.
"Muki gives me acupuncture treatments that are very relaxing to me (it actually puts me to sleep), and he offers me high quality supplements to support my system with at affordable prices."
